G20 pledges to tackle global steel glut, quell China tensions
We recently reported the story of Frank Bernobich, the owner of Boltex Manufacturing Co who filed a complaint about unfair international competition, and he won.
He reported that his competitors from India, China, and other countries found themselves with too much production after the Oil and Gas crisis and started selling their steel for less than it cost to produce.
It turns out that the International Trade Commission, the organization that ruled in his favor, was not the only one to think this excess of production was hurting the market prices. The G20, who reunites the governments of 20 major economies, has just pledged to work together to reduce the 700 million tons of excess steel capacity in the world. Read More.
